KNR Legal Blog
KNR is proud to share its recently obtained $9.275 million settlement on behalf of a well-deserving client. Our client was a semi-truck driver who experienced a flat tire while driving for work several years ago. His employer contacted a service company for assistance and during the repair, as the used replacement tire was being inflated, it suddenly exploded. The violent blast from the defective tire knocked our client unconscious and inflicted catastrophic blunt-force injuries to the abdomen, chest, and internal organs.
What began as a seemingly routine workplace procedure quickly escalated into a prolonged, life-threatening medical ordeal. Our client endured dozens of surgeries, sepsis, multi-organ failure, an extended coma, and permanent impairments affecting multiple body systems. The injuries left him permanently disabled and fundamentally changed every aspect of his life.
KNR’s legal team was led by Managing Partner John J. Reagan, Senior Partner Nomiki P. Tsarnas, and Partner Christopher J. Van Blargan. The $9.275 million settlement will compensate our client for his permanent disability, loss of earning capacity, extensive medical expenses, and lifelong care needs.
Individual results may vary based on the facts, injuries, jurisdiction, venue, witnesses, parties, and other factors.
