Team KNR took a celebratory splash after making a $30,000.00 donation to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank at the 2017 Portage Lakes Polar Bear Jump on February 18th, 2017. Volunteers, including 34 brave jumpers and 10 chickens, were present at the event which was held at Portage Lakes State Park in New Franklin. All proceeds of the event served to benefit the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. Team KNR’s donation will provide more than 120,000 meals to those less fortunate in Northeast Ohio.

Holly Tusko, Kevin Baker, and Mia Colby of Team KNR participated in The Great New Year’s Eve Race in Stow on Saturday, December 31, 2016. This race was made possible by the Summit Athletic Running Club—a charitable organization with over 600 members. Race proceeds are used for many causes including over $30,000 in college scholarships and over $50,000 in donations to organizations such as the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank and Summit County Children’s Services.
We’re your kids naughty? Or were they nice? We let them decide by choosing to color either a Grinch or classic Santa Claus in our Christmas Coloring Contest. The winner, Zander Branch, won a $50.00 gift card to Toys “R” Us where he purchased a new trainset! Congratulations, Zander!

Team KNR participated in the 4th Annual Selfless Elf 5k run on Saturday, December 17th. As part of the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank’s Hunger-Free Holiday campaign, proceeds served to benefit the Foodbank, which assists hungry families in Ohio. Over the past two years, KNR’s contribution to this event has reached nearly $1,300.00, enough to provide over 5,000 meals. For more photos of the 2016 Selfless Elf 5k, click here.
For the sixth year in a row, KNR served as a Toys for Tots drop-off location. Toys for Tots, a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve, is a program that collects toys for distribution to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas.
