Our Team

Sandra E. Pinkerton

attorney at law

Sandra joined KNR in 2024, bringing over two decades of insight into the insurance process and workers’ compensation defense. She has extensive experience evaluating injury claims and defenses in over 1,000 cases, such as coverage issues, uninsured motorist coverage, self-insurance and death claims. She has also handled more than 200 appellate cases, including cases before the Ohio Supreme Court. Notable cases in the Ohio Supreme Court are: State ex rel. Pilkington v. Stein which upheld the “last injurious exposure” rule for asbestos injury cases, State ex rel. Coleman v. Indus. Comm, which held that an arm and hand were a single limb for loss of use and not eligible for automatic permanent total disability award. In 10th appellate district: State ex rel. Carter v. Indus. Comm., which ruled that temporary sedation did not give rise to permanent loss of use of award even if the claimant died while under sedation.

Sandy lives in Dublin with her husband, Craig Wetterman. She has served as a Voting Location Manager for every election for the past 5 years and has volunteered with her husband as poll workers for the last 10 years. In her spare time she enjoys being a long term season ticket holder for the Ohio State Buckeyes Football team and tailgating before every home game.
