Heather L. Thomas is an associate attorney at Kisling, Nestico & Redick, where she represents clients in complex personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, complex medical malpractice, birth injuries, and nursing home cases. With an unwavering commitment to justice and a proven track record of securing substantial recoveries for injured Ohioans, Heather brings fierce advocacy and meticulous case preparation to every matter she handles. Her background as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist provides her with invaluable insight into medical issues that often arise in injury cases.

Prior to joining KNR, Heather founded and led her own successful personal injury firm. Her legal career spans multiple prestigious firms, where she achieved remarkable results – securing a $6.5 million wrongful death verdict in Summit County and negotiating a $5.5 million settlement in another wrongful death case. She also developed and implemented a national birth injury department system, investigating over 1,700 birth injury cases and 150 medical malpractice cases across 14 states while building an extensive network of medical experts.

As an active member of Ohio’s legal community, Heather serves on the board of the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys and has been a featured speaker at the Ohio Association for Justice (OAJ) annual convention. As a military spouse and mother of three, she has also volunteered on a veteran alternative treatment court and remains active in community service. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she partnered with her local Drug Mart to prepare home-cooked meals for families in need.

Outside of her legal work, Heather enjoys traveling, watching football, amusement parks, the Lake Erie islands, and spending time with her family and two beloved grandchildren.
