Through its KNR Cares initiative, team members at Kisling, Nestico & Redick in Akron wrapped up 2025 by celebrating their year of outreach, which included investing time and resources into
Ohio communities to support families, educators and nonprofit organizations. In 2025, KNR team members participated in a full calendar of statewide outreach efforts, including fundraising
events, donation drives, teacher support initiatives, pet adoption sponsorships and holiday giving campaigns benefiting families, educators, nonprofit partners and individuals in need, according to a news release.

“KNR Cares reflects who we are,” John J. Reagan, managing partner at Kisling, Nestico & Redick, said in a news release. “For 20 years, our commitment to advocacy has extended beyond the courtroom. We’re proud of the impact our team made across Ohio in 2025 and grateful to the organizations and community partners who allow us to stand alongside them.”

KNR’s 2025 efforts began in February with the firm’s eighth appearance at the Portage Lakes Polar Bear Jump, raising more than $20,000 to benefit Rotary Camp for Children with Special Needs and Ronald McDonald House Charities. Since joining the event in 2013, KNR has raised nearly $190,000 in support of local nonprofits, according to the release.

Throughout the year, KNR team members participated in regional races and events, including CycleNation in Cleveland, the Akron Marathon, community 5Ks and seasonal fundraisers supporting a range of causes statewide.

In March, the firm launched its anniversary-themed “20 Acts of Kindness” campaign, encouraging team members across Ohio to complete daily community centered acts of generosity and local
support.

In April, more than 30 employees volunteered across the state, supporting 20 organizations selected by team members based on personal community connections and mission alignment.

As part of the expanded KNR Covers the Classroom program, KNR fully funded 20 Amazon Wish Lists for K–12 educators across Ohio – providing 100% of the requested classroom supplies.

KNR also announced the 2025 recipient of its Robert Redick Memorial Scholarship, awarding $5,000 to University of Cincinnati student Ella Young for a winning design promoting awareness of distracted driving. To date, KNR has awarded more than $35,000 in scholarships through this initiative.

Twenty dog adoptions through Lucas County Canine Care & Control were sponsored by KNR in October. The firm’s Toledo team visited the new facility in recognition of the adoption initiative.

KNR concluded the year with its annual holiday campaign, including the 13th Annual Coats & Cans for Kids Turkey Giveaway, distributing 1,000 turkeys and providing $20 Giant Eagle gift cards to additional community members in need. The firm’s holiday outreach also included collecting more than 500 coats for Volunteers of America Ohio and Indiana and donating more than 5,000 pounds of food to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, helping provide more than 4,500 meals to the community.

KNR expanded its tradition from 12 days to a 20 Days of Giving campaign in December, in honor of the firm’s anniversary year. Team members participated in community support activities, including Adopt-A-Family programs, meal and supply deliveries, and Wreaths Across America efforts.

Additional 2025 initiatives included a statewide donation drive supporting shelters and charities, a partnership with Project MKC’s Diaper Bank, and ongoing community involvement through local events and nonprofit partnerships.

“KNR Cares is part of our culture,” Reagan said. “We look forward to continuing this work in 2026 and beyond.”
