Our LocationsAKRON, OH (February 24, 2025) – For the eighth year, the team at Kisling, Nestico & Redick (KNR) took the icy plunge at the Portage Lakes Polar Bear Jump, raising over $20,000 to support the Rotary Camp for Children with Special Needs and Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).
This year, KNR earned the top donor spot, continuing its tradition of giving back. Since first participating in 2013, the firm has collectively raised nearly $190,000 for impactful local organizations, including the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, Rotary Camp, RMHC, and Camp Quality.
The 2025 jump featured 17 neon-themed KNR team members braving the freezing waters, along with six “chickens” who fundraised without taking the plunge.
“We’re thrilled to be back for our eighth year, supporting two incredible organizations that provide essential resources to children and families in need,” said John J. Reagan, Managing Partner at KNR. “Taking the plunge together reminds us that the cold is nothing compared to the challenges these families face. This year, as part of our 20th anniversary, we’re proud to have exceeded our goal and raised over $20,000 for these vital causes.”
KNR’s participation in the Polar Bear Jump is part of its 20th-anniversary celebration, marking two decades of service both in and out of the courtroom. Throughout 2025, the firm will continue to support local nonprofits, families in need, and charitable initiatives that make a lasting impact.
