(Cleveland, OH) – September 17, 2025 – Kisling Nestico & Redick (KNR), a leading personal injury law firm in Ohio, is proud to announce Ella Young from Olmsted Township, OH, as the recipient of the 2025
Robert Redick Memorial Scholarship.
This prestigious $5,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a creative student who demonstrates exceptional artistic talent through a standout billboard design. Established in 2018, the scholarship was renamed in 2020 to honor KNR Founding Partner
Robert Redick after his passing. The program celebrates Redick’s legacy of advocating for the injured, promoting safe driving, and supporting education within
local communities.
“Robert was passionate about making a difference in people’s lives, both through his work and through giving back to the community,” said
John J. Reagan, Managing Partner at KNR. “This scholarship continues his mission by helping students further their education while raising awareness about the dangers of distracted driving.”
Ella Young, a 2024 graduate of Olmsted Falls High School, was selected from a competitive pool of applicants for her powerful design and impressive achievements. Ella is currently a freshman at the
University of Cincinnati, where she is majoring in Fine Arts and minoring in Art History, and is pursuing a Pre-Art and Design Education Licensure certificate. Her long-term goal is to earn a Master’s degree in Art Education and become an art teacher, inspiring others to discover the same joy and passion she finds in creating.
“I have always found immense joy and meaning in the creative process, and I want to share that same sense of wonder and passion both by creating art and teaching about it,” said Young. “Safe driving has always been very important to me. I try to set a good example for my younger siblings by not
driving distracted. I am extremely grateful to Kisling, Nestico & Redick for not only granting me the opportunity for the Robert Redick Memorial Scholarship, but also drawing attention to the issue of unsafe driving.”
Beyond her academic pursuits, Ella is an active volunteer and campus leader. She participates in the Mountaineering Club and the Knits Club, which creates handmade hats, scarves, and blankets for donation to organizations in need. Her commitment to service includes volunteering with the
Cleveland Foodbank,
Freestore Foodbank,
Seven Acres Senior Living Home, UC’s Public Safety Department, and IT Proud.
Ella’s winning billboard design was inspired by her desire to keep her peers and community safe on the roads. The design will be displayed on
E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., east of S. Main St., reminding drivers of the life-saving importance of staying focused behind the wheel.
The
entire team at Kisling Nestico & Redick congratulates Ella on this outstanding accomplishment and looks forward to seeing the positive impact she will make as an artist, educator, and advocate for safe driving.
