KNR celebrated the holiday season by giving back for the first twelve days of December. We had so much fun visiting different people and organizations to make their holidays brighter!

  • December 1st:

We kicked off the season with our first Make it Count donation with our first winner, Closing Paralegal Vernise A. She chose to donate the first $500 donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This donation will aid their mission to ensure that every child with cancer and other catastrophic diseases will have access to quality care and treatment.

  • December 2nd:

Our Toledo office made supply kits including thermal blankets, socks, hand warmers, and more to give to those in need. Attorney Thomas Walsh II led the charge with s few members of our Toledo office to pass out the kits to residents of St. Paul’s Community Center.

    • We passed out around 75 backpacks filled with supplies and met with residents at the shelter. All leftover supplies from creating the kits were donated to the center for future residents or other visitors in need.
  • December 3rd:

We made another Make it Count donation for our third day of giving! Senior Paralegal Peggy M. from our Cleveland office chose to donate $500 to the Hydrocephalus Association.

  • December 4th:

At each office, KNR gave snacks and drinks to our delivery driver to thank them and keep up their spirits during their busiest season!

  • December 5th:

We made yet another Make it Count donation! This time, KNR Paralegal Sarah J. in Columbus chose to make our donation to World Central Kitchen (WCK). WCK works on the frontlines of relief, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises.

  • December 6th:

In Youngstown, KNR Claims Coordinator Dana D. chose our next $500 Make it Count donation to go to Friends of Fido. This wonderful organization in Youngstown rescues dogs from the Mahoning County Dog Pound to eliminate the need to euthanize homeless dogs and to develop a network of supporters and volunteers.

  • December 7th:

KNR headed back to school for our seventh day of giving! Partner Ken Zerrusen and Attorney Christina Bertolino stopped by Ms. Hazlett’s music class at Miller South School of Visual and Performing Arts to spread some holiday cheer to celebrate our recent donation of harmonicas for each student to use next semester.

    • Our donation funded over 50 harmonicas for students to be gifted and learn to play at the upcoming semester. However, the students received an early music lesson from during KNR’s visit and learned to play Hot Cross Buns as a group in less than 20 minutes.
  • December 8th:

Senior Partner Josh Angelotta visited our friends at Volunteers of America and Cleveland 19 News for their Share Your Holidays! While there, he dropped off the 450 coats that were donated during our Coats & Cans for Kids Turkey Giveaway. These coats will help keep local veterans and their families warm this winter!

  • December 9th:

Another $500 Make it Count donation went to Family House of Toledo by Support Paralegal Patsy H.! This organization strives to help families stay together during times of crisis through various programs.

  • December 10th:

KNR brought Christmas to families and students for our tenth day of giving through two inspirational organizations in Youngstown and Dayton: United Way – Youngstown Mahoning Valley and CHOICES.

    • United Way works to create positive change by collaborating with partners to educate and empower children and families.
    • CHOICES is a non-profit foster-care organization that brings change to youth and families by providing personalized services & building safe environments.
  • December 11th:

For our eleventh day of giving, KNR Probate Paralegal Cynthia M. chose to send another $500 donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

  • December 12th:

We completed our 12 Days of Giving by giving back to the smaller members of our community at Franklin County Dog Shelter & Adoption Center. Attorney Jim Tully along with half a dozen KNR staff members took shifts to perform the various tasks for the shelter including walking dogs, making treats, and much more to help out the staff at the shelter.
