This month,
KNR spent the first 20 days of December giving back to our communities in various ways:
Day 1: At each of our offices, we gave treats to the unsung heroes of the holiday season: delivery drivers.
Day 2: Our Akron team showed our gratitude for the men and women in blue at
Fairlawn Police Department by treating them to a meal on KNR!
Day 3: Team KNR quickly got to work helping Santa for the holidays by buying presents as part of
USPS: Operation Santa.
Day 5: Team KNR showcased their crafty side by hand-knitting octopus dolls for the brave little ones at
Hillabrand NICU.
Day 7: KNR Director of Operations Brandy G. dashed through the aisles buying gifts to donate to wonderful kids at Lake Local School for Lake Community Christmas.
Day 8: KNR’s Marketing Team dropped off gifts for a local family for the holidays through
Haven of Rest’s Adopt a Family!
Day 10: Team KNR dropped off much-needed supplies to the
Animal Charity of Ohio to help care for the lovable rescued animals at their shelter.
Day 11: Our Dayton Team rolled up their sleeves and dove into
Homefull’s Adopt a Family program, carefully selecting presents for a local family facing challenges this holiday season.
Day 12: KNR’s Cleveland office partnered with
The Center to purchase gifts to donate to families through their Adopt a Family Program.
Day 13: Our Toledo team, led by Partner
Anthony Hall, joined
Wreaths Across America to help lay thousands of wreaths on fallen soldiers’ graves at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. In addition, KNR donated $1000 toward the purchase of the wreaths honoring these heroes.
Day 14: Team KNR rolled up our sleeves to create
Comfort Cases for children in emergency care through Cuyahoga County Health and Human Services.
Day 15: KNR teamed with
Leading Families Home to spread some holiday magic by donating gifts for a local family through their Adopt a Family Program.
Day 16: Our Cleveland team, led by Managing Partner John J. Reagan, had a blast shopping for toys, clothes, and essentials to donate to
The City Mission’s Annual Christmas Fair.
Day 17: Our Columbus team spread holiday cheer at
Cotter House Worthington, donating activity items such as toys, puzzles, and games to this specialized Alzheimer’s and dementia care community, hoping to bring moments of joy and engagement to those who call it home.
Day 18: Our team stopped by
Grief and Loss in Motion, an incredible organization supporting those who’ve lost loved ones to suicide. We helped fulfill items from their wish list, providing resources to help in their mission of healing and progress.
Day 19:
Team KNR Columbus brought some holiday magic to others, paying off $1,000 in layaways.
Day 20: We completed our 20 Days of Giving by recognizing the heart of KNR—
our staff! We’ve been surprising a different team member each day with a holiday gift (of their choosing!)
As we reflect on our 20 Days of Giving, we’re incredibly proud of the compassion, generosity, and teamwork shown by every member of Team KNR. Giving back is not just something we do during the holidays; it’s an integral part of who we are and the communities we’re privileged to serve. As we look ahead to the new year, we remain committed to making a positive impact wherever we live and work.
