KNR Gives Back with the 12 Days of Christmas

KNR celebrated the season of giving by committing to an act of kindness a day for the first twelve days of December. We had so much fun visiting with different people and organizations to make their holidays a little brighter!

• December 1st: To kick off our 12 days of giving, we surprised our birthday lunch delivery driver with an extra tip to thank him.
• December 2nd: All year long our teams in each of our offices have worn their special Make it Count shirts on Mondays. Each time a staff member wore it, they could put a raffle ticket toward their favorite organization or charity. On Day 2, our Akron office winner was Paralegal Manager Paige Soulier! She chose to send our $1,000 donation to Akron Children’s Hospital Showers Family Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders.
• December 3rd: Team KNR made homemade cards for Cards for Hospitalized Kids, an organization that takes in holiday cards and disperses them to children staying at a hospital or Ronald McDonald House over the holidays.
• December 4th: Day 4 brought another Make it Count donation! This time our winner was Paralegal J.D. Bellamy from our Columbus office, who chose to make our $1,000 donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
• December 5th: KNR Director of Corporate Communication Jamie Vazzana visited her local Little Free Library to donate a new stack of books for anyone in her neighborhood to read.
• December 6th: On Day 6 of our 12 Days of Christmas, we donated $1,000 to Mahoning County District St. Vincent DePaul Society, the chosen charity of Youngstown office Sr. Corporate Paralegal Theodore Karabatsos!
• December 7th: We are so appreciative of our local delivery drivers during this busy season, so for Day 7 of our 12 Days of Christmas we surprised them with some drinks and snacks for the road!
• December 8th: We donated some of the 313 coats that were donated during our Coats & Cans for Kids Turkey Giveaway to the Volunteers of America. These coats will go on to help keep local veterans and their families warm this winter!
• December 9th: Another $1,000 Make it Count donation was made to Hearts of Patriots, an organization that helps and raises awareness for the spouses, partners or families members supporting veterans with PTSD or TBIs. Senior Closing Paralegal Laura Eichenmiller chose this amazing organization to receive our donation!
• December 10th: Nearing the end of our 12 Days, members of our Cleveland office came together to donate items to the Cleveland Animal Protection League. Even pets deserve to have a happy holiday!
• December 11th: Our final $1,000 Make it Count donation was made, this time to the Buddhist Temple of Toledo, a charity chosen by KNR Attorney Marshall Kupresanin.
• December 12th:  We finished our 12 Days of Christmas by donating wish list items to the Columbus YWCA to help support, educate and empower vulnerable women, families and youth.
