Our client was driving to work, when she was rear-ended by a 24-year-old girl. As a result of the car accident, she sustained a lower back injury, which ultimately required a microdiscectomy surgery. While in the hospital after her surgery, she fell and re-injured her lower back – requiring the surgery to be performed a second time. The defendant only carried state minimum coverage of $25,000, and our client carried up to $100,000 in underinsured coverage, which was the entire available insurance coverage for the case. The case settled for the full $100,000.
