Akron, Ohio, 2013 – Akron-based personal injury law firm Kisling, Nestico & Redick (KNR) joins in the holiday spirit by once again serving as a local toy drop location for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. For the second year in a row, KNR continues to promote the mission of Toys for Tots by encouraging their own employees and community residents alike to give to less fortunate families and keep the meaning of the holiday spirit at the forefront of their practice.
According to the Toys for Tots foundation, since the beginning of the program in 1947, more than 452 million toys have been delivered to over 209 million needy children. KNR proudly contributed to that amount last year by collecting more than four bins of donated items, a number they hope to surpass this year. “Contributing to our local neighborhoods is essential to the ideals of Kisling, Nestico & Redick,” says managing partner Rob Nestico. “Toys for Tots is a respected organization and an excellent way for us to show our support and commitment to helping people throughout our communities. We are excited to continue serving as a toy drop location for many years to come.”
In addition to supporting Toys for Tots, KNR shows that giving back comes naturally as the firm proved its commitment to community activism by supporting over 12 charitable organizations and events in 2012, including Akron Children’s Hospital, Akron Marathon, Akron Torchbearers AkRun and Crawl, American Cancer Society, The Andrea Rose Teodosio Foundation, the Battered Women’s Shelter of Summit & Medina Counties, Druze Orphans & Charitable Organization, the Rape Crisis Center of Medina and Summit Counties, Ronald McDonald House Charities, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and Summit County Special Olympics.
If you would like to participate in this year’s Toys for Tots campaign, bring any new, unwrapped toys to the main office of KNR, located at 3412 West Market Street, Akron, OH 44333, or the Youngstown area office, at 4790 Market Street, Boardman, OH 44512.
