As Thanksgiving approaches, it’s the perfect time to indulge in the joy of giving back to our community. The 2023 Coats and Cans for Kids Turkey Giveaway, hosted by KNR, is one of our team’s favorite ways to show our commitment to Ohio and positively impact the lives of those around us. We hope you’ll join us in our annual tradition that warms the body, feeds the heart, and embraces the spirit of giving.
Friday, November 10th. Team KNR’s turkey giveaway will occur at our Akron location, 3412 W. Market St., Fairlawn, OH 44333. The event commences at 11:00 a.m. and continues until we’ve shared all the love and handed out all the turkeys.
Participating in our turkey giveaway is easy and meaningful. On November 10th, drive up to our Akron office and bring a used coat or a non-perishable food item. We’ll present you with a free turkey in return for your generous contribution.
What’s more, your donations not only secure your holiday feast. The coats and canned food items will support the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank and provide warmth to those in need through Volunteers of America.
The turkeys are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, which might result in a line. Your patience is deeply appreciated as we work diligently to ensure that everyone in attendance receives a Thanksgiving turkey.
We kindly request that you do not arrive early. Our decision to keep our parking lots closed until 11:00 a.m. is for the safety of our dedicated volunteers during setup and our desire to maintain positive relations with our neighboring businesses.
We have partnered with METRO RTA, who graciously offered FREE RIDES to and from KNR on 11/10/2023. All you need to do is show the flyer (linked below) to your bus operator in print or digitally on your phone. This offer is valid for two hours before and two hours after the event, making attending easier than ever.
