KNR Cares – June: bicycle helmet giveaway

In Ohio, currently only 10 to 20% of children wear bike helmets, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics. With that mind, and in honor of June being National Safety Month, Team KNR donated over 500 helmets throughout Ohio.

We kicked off the month by giving out 25 helmets to lucky winners via our social media giveaway.

Then, we donated 300 helmets to YMCA of Youngstown camp goers. We rounded out the month by donating 200 helmets to YMCA of Toledo, in conjunction with their Safe Routes to School initiative, which promotes children participating in active transportation, such as bicycling.
