3rd Annual KNR School Supply Giveaway

The KNR School Supply Giveaway is back and bigger than ever!

August 10, 2017— It’s that time of year again and as the summer winds down and Ohio families start preparing for an exciting new school year, the team at Kisling, Nestico & Redick along with our friends at W.B. Mason have DOUBLED OUR EFFORTS to provide children with the tools they need to succeed. Now through August 18th, 2017, KNR is giving away 100 backpacks filled with essential school supplies.

Simply by visiting and sharing the post on the firm’s Facebook page, KNR will award 100 parents with backpacks loaded with the most common classroom items requested by elementary school teachers. Included in each bag, valued at $54 each, are pencils, pens, notebooks, markers, glue, paper, highlighters, binders, and other fundamental supplies.

Many children across Ohio look forward to back-to-school shopping, where they can pick out fun and colorful supplies like folders, pencils, crayons, and even a new backpack—to start the new year fresh. Unfortunately, this can put a serious strain on many families and teachers across Ohio. Entering a classroom on the first day of school, unprepared and embarrassed by having limited supplies can crush a child’s confidence to learn. Along with a generous contribution by W.B. Mason, who donated the backpacks, the attorneys of KNR mean to fill the gap and serve those families in need and make sure everyone starts the 2017-2018 school on the right foot.

“One in every five school-age child lives in poverty, making it difficult for parents to afford these supplies. When you factor in that teachers themselves spend, on average, $578 of their own salary to fund school supplies for their classrooms each year, the idea to host a giveaway seemed like the right thing to do for our community,” says Managing Partner Rob Nestico.

Since the giveaway first began, the Ohio personal injury lawyers with KNR have more than doubled the amount of supplies given away.

“We are fortunate to have a company like W.B. Mason who contributed office supplies last year. This year, they donated the backpacks so we could fill them full with classroom items,” Nestico adds.
