Ohio Law firm Withstands Mother Nature In the Spirit of Giving Back

Akron, OH, February 21, 2015 – Ohio personal injury law firm, Kisling, Nestico & Redick (KNR) shatters donation goal and braves the icy waters of Portage Lakes in the 2015 Polar Bear Jump benefitting the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank.

Surpassing their goal by raising a whopping $25,000, the 40 volunteer jumpers of Team KNR courageously withstood the frigid February temperatures in the name of charity. Having become a staple at the event, Team KNR continues to raise the bar for accumulating some of the largest donations, being the team with the most jumpers, and for being the law firm with the biggest heart.

“This is the most we’ve ever raised for charity and it’s something we’re proud of,” says Managing Partner, Rob Nestico. “We’re a community business and KNR couldn’t function without our community members, so it’s important we give back and take care of each other. I don’t know of any other law firm that genuinely cares the way we do,” he adds.

In a week with record-lows and enough severe weather to close down schools and open warming centers, jumping into a freezing-cold lake is the last thing most people want to do, but Team KNR welcomed the challenge.

“Most people think we’re crazy, especially this year because it’s been so cold, but it’s actually something we look forward to all year. Just knowing our donation provides over 100,000 meals is pretty amazing, but hopefully the excitement we have for the jump itself brings more awareness to the great work of the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank,” says Brandy Brewer, KNR’s Director of Operations.
