Texting while driving is estimated to be equivalent to operating a vehicle under the influence of 4 beers and is 6 times more likely to cause an accident. Texting while driving is just one form of distracted driving, as there are many other things that could play a role in taking a drivers focus off the road. Applicants must develop a plan that will persuade young adults to avoid distracted driving. The 'plan' can be very open-ended. Applicants can make videos, submit strategies, or really be as creative as they'd like to convey their ideas. Please upload your plan (DOC or PDF) below. If your plan is not a PDF or DOC file, please email the file to [email protected] and let us know this is supplementing your online application. Additionally, you must also submit either a letter of recommendation or a school transcript below to support your application.
