KNR Managing Partner John J. Reagan was recently inducted as a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). ABOTA is an invitation-only organization. Members must have a documented record of civil jury trials, plus additional litigation experience. The ABOTA and its members are dedicated to preserving and promoting the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and have 96 chapters nationwide. Throughout his career, Managing Partner Reagan has exemplified civility, integrity, and professionalism in his practice.

He spent more than a decade defending insurance companies until he decided to take on a client who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident through no fault of the client. The client’s own insurance company had denied the claim, so Managing Partner Reagan took it to trial and obtained a six-figure jury verdict for the clients – well over the insurance policy limits – and secured additional damages in a separate lawsuit due to the insurance company’s bad faith in handling the claim. Through this case, he realized a new fulfillment in his practice. He then expanded his practice to assisting individuals whenever possible, eventually joining KNR in 2010 to help injury victims full-time. Since joining KNR, Reagan has obtained numerous six and seven-figure verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients.
