Akron, OH, June 24, 2015 – Ohio-based personal injury law firm, Kisling, Nestico & Redick (KNR) is proud to announce, after two years of litigation, a Richland County jury returned a verdict forcing State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company to finally pay their insured the coverage available under their client’s insurance policy.

Marcia Woodyard, 60, of Norwalk, Ohio, was seriously injured when her foot was crushed beneath a motorcycle on July 26, 2013. As she and her husband, a local pastor, set out for a two-day trip with friends, an uninsured motorist pulled in front of Woodyard’s motorcycle, forcing them to crash. Despite the fact that Mrs. Woodyard’s life was significantly affected following the collision, State Farm minimized Mrs. Woodyard’s damages. As a result, Mrs. Woodyard turned to KNR Attorneys Kimberly Lubrani and John
Reagan for help.

For almost 20 years, the Woodyard family insured all of their property and vehicles with State Farm Insurance. The coverage they purchased included “uninsured motorist” coverage to protect them in the event they were injured by a driver who didn’t carry insurance.

“It’s unfortunate, after being a State Farm customer for nearly 20 years, her own insurance company would not only deny the benefits she deserved, but force her to take the matter to trial to get a fair result,” says Attorney Lubrani. “State Farm repeatedly minimized Mrs. Woodyard’s injuries and challenged the value of her claim
every step of the way.”

In the end, KNR was able to provide justice as the jury returned the unanimous, six-figure verdict requiring State Farm to pay Mrs. Woodyard the award pursuant to her policy. Kisling, Nestico & Redick is a personal injury law firm with locations all throughout Ohio. KNR has gained a reputation as being one of the state’s leading firms due to their personal service, inside knowledge of the insurance industry, and extensive legal experience.
