Akron, OH, April 29, 2016 – Ohio-based personal injury law firm, Kisling, Nestico & Redick (KNR), raised over $10,000 for The Rape Crisis Center of Medina and Summit Counties and participated in the 11th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event held today in Akron.

For the fifth year in a row, Team KNR won the highly coveted golden shoe by raising the largest donation for The Rape Crisis Center. Comprising of 75 people, Team KNR once again led the pack of walkers through downtown Akron while bringing awareness and support to victims of gender-based violence.

“This is an event we’ve done for the past several years,” says Nestico. “Our attorneys and staff strongly support the mission of The Rape Crisis Center, so we never have to work hard to convince our team to participate. We all understand the importance of giving back to the community and we look forward to Walk a Mile each year.”

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is an annual walk that brings attention to interpersonal and sexual violence. The event raises money for The Rape Crisis Center of Medina and Summit Counties, and gives men a chance to experience firsthand how difficult it can be to walk a mile in the shoes of women.
