Akron – Michael J. Maillis is now a partner with the law firm Kisling, Nestico & Redick. Maillis, who joined the firm’s Youngstown office in 2013, specializes in medical malpractice, wrongful death lawsuits, and helping plaintiffs injured in motor vehicle accidents. Among Maillis’ successes during his five years at KNR is a $1.7 million jury verdict in a complicated intentional tort case.

Based in KNR’s Youngstown office, Maillis was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1995. He served as a public defender in Stark County, trying major felony cases (1996-1997); then served as Youngstown City Prosecutor (1997-2000) and Mahoning County Prosecutor (2000-2001). In 2002, Maillis joined the law firm of Perantinides & Nolan Co., LPA which focuses on personal injury and medical malpractice cases.

Maillis is a member of the Mahoning County Bar Association. He earned his law degree at the University of Akron School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Youngstown State University. Maillis was named a Rising Star by Ohio Super Lawyers in 2007, a National Trial Lawyers Top 100 in 2016, and was AV Peer Review Rated, Preeminent by Martindale Hubble for 2016, 2017 and 2018.
