Wednesday, June 21, 2017 – Akron, OH – UPDATE: More than 1,000 volunteers joined forces today all across Summit County to help local residents and non-profits as part of the United Way of Summit Counties’ Day of Action.

Ward 5 Councilwoman Tara Mosley-Samples was joined by employees of the law firm Kisling, Nestico & Redick (KNR) and several area volunteers to help make improvements to Talbot/Whitney Park on the city’s east side. Mosley-Samples, KNR, and residents spent the day planting flowers, laying mulch, painting characters on the playground, and cleaning the park.

“There’s no better way to enjoy the first day of summer, than to get our team out in the sunshine to serve the community,” says Rob Nestico, Managing Partner of Kisling, Nestico & Redick. “It’s truly heartwarming to see so many people come out to do something for the greater good,” says Councilwoman Tara Mosely-Samples. “KNR really works hard in our city, so we knew they would be up for the challenge,” she adds.

This isn’t the first time Mosley-Samples has called on KNR. The firm recently assisted the councilwoman in handing out smoke detectors to area residents in response to the city’s deadliest house fire which killed seven people.
