Our LocationsAt the beginning of an unseasonably warm day, Team KNR grabbed their bells and leashes before heading to Monroe Falls. As they arrived, they met with the chatter and barking of fellow racers and their canines as many prepared for the annual Jingle Dog 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run!
This event brings together the community and their fluffy friends every year to run or walk through the picturesque trails and lakes in Monroe Falls while partaking in the festive atmosphere of the holiday season. After the races, human and canine participants received hot chocolate and puppuccinos to celebrate a job well done and warm up from the frigid cold that usually occurs during this event.
This year, KNR Attorney Brad Somogyi, KNR Paralegal Kryste L., and KNR Medical Records Processor Katy K. took to the challenge with their four-legged family members to jingle along the trails for the holiday season.
Each year, proceeds from this event go to help support RunningDog. RunningDog is a volunteer program in Northeastern OH whose mission is to keep the adoptable dogs physically active, mentally stimulated, and emotionally balanced using a running and mentoring program. All funds collected help recruit, train, and equip runners to help in our mission.
Along with participants, many volunteers from RunningDog ran alongside adoptable shelter dogs that have benefitted from the program to remind racers how their support has helped canines within the community.
