Our LocationsAll week long, Team KNR braved the heat and thunder to assist at Derby Downs, ensuring the smooth execution of the 2024 All American Soap Box Derby Race Week.
The week began with KNR Attorney McKenzie Tromp and Social Media Coordinator Kes S. collaborating with the International Soap Box Derby President and CEO Scott Taylor to help out in Downtown Akron. Racers from across the country gathered for a community parade and welcome ceremony, setting an energetic tone for the races.
McKenzie and Kes contributed to the festivities by grilling hot dogs for the kids, cleaning up trash, setting up chairs and tents, and securing tents against high winds, all to make the race week a memorable experience for all!
Later in the week, Senior Paralegal Matt S., Escrow Analyst Emily A., Business Development Specialist Katie S., and Signups Support Specialist Zac S. volunteered at Derby Downs. They assisted racers with check-in, transported cars to the starting line, and handled various tasks to ensure the races ran smoothly.
