Sonia M. Whitehouse

Sonia joined Kisling, Nestico & Redick in 2023. She has over 10 years of experience in insurance defense litigation where her practice focused on personal injury, property damage, bad faith, insurance coverage, appellate practice, construction, and premises liability. Sonia also has experience in wage and hour law and general business law. Despite years as a defense attorney, Sonia has always been sympathetic to those who have been injured and is looking forward to representing individuals seeking compensation for others’ wrongful conduct.

Sonia earned her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 2010 and her Bachelor of Arts in English from Kent State University in 2004. Sonia also has a Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and a Certificate in Global Arbitration and Practice. Prior to her legal career, Sonia worked as an English teacher, in retail, and in the service industry. Sonia grew up in Akron, Ohio and has lived in Istanbul, Berlin, London and New York. She now proudly calls Cleveland home where she lives with her husband, Gavin, and son, Lucas.

Sonia loves learning new things and meeting new people from all cultures and walks of life whether abroad or here in Ohio. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, going to museums, and practicing yoga and aerial arts.
