Marshall began law school in 2012 at The University of Toledo. During law school, he served as a student clerk for Magistrate Judge James R. Knepp II in the Northern District of Ohio Federal Court. Marshall also worked as a law clerk for the Staff Counsel of the Cincinnati Insurance Companies, and volunteered as a Certified Legal Intern in the law school’s Legal Clinic, where he helped provide legal services to low-income Toledo residents. Marshall was also a part of the school’s Law Review board and helped re-establish The University of Toledo chapter of Delta Theta Phi law fraternity with fellow KNR attorney, Thomas Walsh.
After passing the bar exam in 2015, Marshall began his law practice defending national insurance companies and their insureds in personal injury, wrongful death, and coverage dispute cases. Marshall took great pride in defending clients across Ohio. While working as a trial defense lawyer, Marshall was contacted by a college friend who had been injured in a severe car crash. Marshall felt it was an honor to be trusted by a friend to handle their case and found a new passion in fighting for the rights of those who were injured through no fault of their own
Marshall joined KNR in 2018 and devotes his practice to pre-litigation of personal injury and wrongful death cases. Marshall loves working directly with clients and helping his Northwest Ohio neighbors when tragic accidents occur. Many people are unsure of their rights when accidents occur and Marshall feels tremendous satisfaction in helping others in a difficult situation find the resources they need and get the recovery they deserve.
Marshall is married and lives with his wife Brittany in Waterville, Ohio. He serves on the Ethics Committee at The Buddhist Temple of Toledo, where he is a Jukai initiate. He is also an officer of Rubicon Freemason Lodge #237 in Waterville, and a regular blood donor with over 30 donations to date.
