Considering a 3M Earplug Lawsuit? Our Ohio attorneys are here for you and your family.
Between 2003 and 2015, the 3M Company manufactured and sold the Dual-End and Reversible Combat Arms Earplugs (CAEv2) to the U.S. Military. The 3M Earplugs were designed to block battlefield noises, while allowing quieter sounds so soldiers could communicate. But because of a design flaw, the earplugs failed to reduce loud noise and caused many service members to suffer partial or complete hearing loss.
After a whistleblower report and DOJ lawsuit, it became clear that 3M knew of the flaw, failed to notify the government, and continued selling the defective earplugs without disclosing the risk to men and women in uniform. We think our veterans deserve better.
Several 3M lawsuits are being pursued against those responsible. So, if you or a loved one developed hearing loss or tinnitus as a result of using 3M Earplugs, you may have a right to financial compensation. Contact Kisling, Nestico & Redick today. We will explain your options and fight for everything you are entitled to under the law.

3M Earplug Defects & Lawsuit EligibilityCountless U.S. service members were issued 3M Combat Arms Earplugs while deployed in foreign conflicts, particularly in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria
The CAEv2 earplugs were marketed as dual-purpose. Wearing them one way allowed sounds such as speech to be heard, while the opposite end protected wearers from harmful sounds like gunfire and explosions.
Despite being the exclusive provider and even preventing other companies from selling more effective earplugs, 3M allegedly sold CAEv2 earplugs that were too short for proper insertion. This loose fit effectively rendered the earplugs useless. Without adequate protection, many U.S. soldiers unknowingly suffered permanent hearing loss and auditory damage.
